How To Use
HOW TO USE YOUR PERFUME OILS there are various ways to use them - via bathing, vaporisation and inhalation, to enhance your own products, such as body oils, creams, lotions, soaps and candles or to fragrance the home in an oil burner or diffuser.
BATHING Add 3-5 drops of the perfume to your bath, then agitate the water to disperse. While you relax in the bath, the perfume is slowly evaporated by the heat of the water. You can also add your oils to an unscented bubble bath to prevent the perfume from clinging to the bath sides. Some people recommend adding the oils to a teaspoon of milk first to help dispersal, but any emulsifier such as shampoo or conditioner will work in the same way.
PRODUCT MANUFACTURE: Soap and Candles, body lotions, bath oils, incense, reed diffusers etc. The amount to add is highly dependent on the product to be made, personal preference, the dosing regulations of your country . The Safety guideline amount for this fragrance with reference to its declared IFRA certification in the EU is as follows:
Soaps and skin products is 0.3 -1 %.
Candles and non skin products 3 - 20%.
Home Use in products - You can also add these oils to other products such as body lotion or body custards, 5 drops to 10ml of base product, so if the product is 100ml or 100gms: you add 50 drops. Remember to do a skin patch first to check for allergies.
VAPORISATION The evaporative properties of pure oils make them ideal for use in a vaporiser. These can be added to a suitable vaporiser or oil burner. When using an oil burner always add the oils to a suitable carrier oil or water or they may be too strong or burn off quickly. Never leave an oil burner unattended.
POT POURRI Sprinkle several drops of perfume over your pot pourri, for better penetration, put pot pourri into a strong plastic bag, tie off the bag leaving as much air in the bag as possible (so it looks like a balloon) and leave overnight in a warm place (on a radiator or in an airing cupboard). For large amounts of pot pourri or new fragrance, mix perfume (20%) with drop of washing up liquid, top up with water and spray onto pot pourri and put into a large plastic bag as above.
